This Privacy Policy explains how Automation Vault (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our websites and services, including:

1. Who we are

Automation Vault is a marketplace where developers (“Builders”) can list automations and related digital products, and businesses or individuals (“Buyers”) can purchase and download them.

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies when you:

  • browse our website
     
  • create an account as a Builder or Buyer
     
  • upload or purchase automations
     
  • subscribe to our emails or newsletters
     
  • contact us by email, form, or support channels
     

It does not cover third-party websites or services you access via links from our Platform (for example, GitHub, Stripe, PayPal, Google, or other tools).

3. Information we collect

We may collect and process the following types of information:

3.1 Information you provide directly

  • Account details – name, email address, username, password.
     
  • Profile information – display name, bio, links, avatar/profile image.
     
  • Transaction information – products purchased or sold, order history, prices and currency.
     
  • Support communications – messages when you contact us for help, feedback or bug reports.
     
  • Builder uploads – files you upload (e.g. automations, documentation, metadata, screenshots).
     
  • Payment/payout information – we do not store your full card details; these are handled by third-party payment processors (e.g. Stripe, PayPal). We may store limited information needed for invoicing, tax and payouts (e.g. last 4 digits of card, billing address, payout email).
     

3.2 Information we collect automatically

When you use the Platform we may collect:

  • Log data – IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, dates/times of access, referring URLs.
     
  • Usage data – clicks, page views, search queries, downloads and interactions with features.
     
  • Device information – device type, screen resolution and similar technical details.
     
  • Cookies and similar technologies – small text files stored on your device (see “Cookies” below).
     

4. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate and maintain the Platform.
     
  • Create and manage your account.
     
  • Enable Builders to upload, list and manage automations.
     
  • Enable Buyers to purchase and download automations.
     
  • Process payments and payouts via third-party processors.
     
  • Communicate with you about your account, orders, security updates and service changes.
     
  • Provide customer support and respond to enquiries.
     
  • Improve and develop the Platform, including testing new features.
     
  • Detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse or security issues.

If you are in the UK/EEA, we rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR / EU GDPR to process your personal data:

Our service providers may be based outside the UK/EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as:

The Platform is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email or via the Platform.
